Kranthi knows exactly what it feels like to dream of a career in American hospitality. He came to the United States on a J1 visa as a culinary student — navigating an unfamiliar system, a new culture, and the high-pressure world of professional kitchens entirely on his own.
He worked his way up from extern to head chef at a respected U.S. restaurant, building a life and career he is proud of. But he never forgot how hard that first step was.
